ABOUT ABENBURY COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Abenbury Community Council came into being in 1972, as a result of the Local Government Act 1972, although it has a much longer history. In 2008, following a Boundary review Abenbury was extended to include properties in the LLwyn Onn area south of Abenbury Road.
Abenbury is a local government community, the lowest tier of local government, part of the Wrexham County Borough in Wales. It is situated south-east of Wrexham town and includes the village of Pentre Maelor and part of the Wrexham Industrial Estate.
OUR NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Community Council will be held on the 10th of November 2025 at 7pm at Pentre Gwyn Community Centre . The meeting is an open meeting, meaning that residents and other members of the public can come and observe the meeting if they so wish. You may decide to apply for one of our vacancies to serve as Councillor!

We have a Community Agent for the area, based at AVOW. The service is for those aged over 50. If you feel you would benefit, or you know of someone in the Community who is in need of some social support or needs advice about their benefits, and is aged over 50, then please refer tot he Community Agent service for a chat to see if they would be able to help.
